I had a revelation one January morning while at the beach.  I'm not where I thought I would be at 25, almost 26.  I'm not even close.  Then I realized that there's absolutely nothing holding me back from being anything BUT what I currently am, which is a sub mail carrier for USPS. It pays the bills but I don't see that being my career.

I've been writing since 1996, with four completed-yet-unpublished novels under my wings.  I went to college to learn journalism in order to make my writing practical and hopefully work it into an engine to sustain myself with; alas, I found out that I really don't like beat journalism.

I've always had an interest in local history and archaeology, so one of my goals in life is to write some local history books, starting with my hometown.  It wasn't until January that I seriously questioned why I hadn't begun work on a history book, since I have a wealth of knowledge about the town, and so I immediately set to work.

Two months later, I found myself elected as vice president of the Sterling Historical Society.   Where am I going from here?  I don't really know, but I'm excited!

This photo was taken on March 27, 2007, which is the day I got engaged (married later that year).  My husband is from Egypt (and is a private person so recent pics won't be on the site).  Can't wait to go back!

Some other things about me:  I'm also an artist.  Web design was a high school hobby of mine that happened to land me a couple jobs, but is now a hobby again.  I wear many hats.
